Craic invites the comedy industry to attend our education and training events covering tech, marketing, health + wellbeing.
The Craic platform will connect the entire comedic industry together in one space. It is imperative that we foster a collaborative spirit to effect positive change in the comedy industry's culture, creating an environment that is safer, healthier, and more supportive for everyone’s wellbeing.
Mental health and comedy share a complex and interconnected relationship. It's important to recognise that the world of comedy can be emotionally demanding and mentally taxing for creatives and other industry professionals. The pressures of performing, audience expectations, rejection, and the unpredictability of the industry can contribute to stress, anxiety, and mental health issues, including addictions, low self-esteem and suicide.
As a result, there is a growing recognition of the need to support the mental wellbeing of those within the comedy industry. Initiatives like the partnership between Craic and Haven+London seek to provide a space that not only connects professionals but also addresses the emotional and spiritual needs of the creative community. This collaboration represents a significant step towards creating a healthier, more sustainable environment for the comedy industry to thrive.
Workshop information
Healing Humour: Bridging Comedy + Mental Health With Craic + The Rev, the founder of The Haven is an exclusive workshop which will look at the powerful intersection of comedy, mental health, and creativity.
In collaboration between Craic and The Haven, there are 20 limited positions as we are actively seeking to engage with a diverse cross section of comedy industry professionals who can share their insights and experiences. Our workshop findings will create the basis for a bigger event in the coming months and also help Craic adapt our platform to best include health and wellness, specialised for this wonderful industry.
