Punchlines to Progress: Creating Change in the Comedy Industry with Craic (Event)

Craic invites the comedy industry to attend our education and training events covering tech, marketing, health + wellbeing.

The Craic platform will connect the entire comedic industry together in one space. It is imperative that we foster a collaborative spirit to effect positive change in the comedy industry's culture, creating an environment that is safer, healthier, and more supportive for everyone’s wellbeing.

Punchlines to Progress: Creating Change in the Comedy Industry with Craic will showcase the platform, with this event mainly focusing on how our technology could offer a space to mitigate exploitation in the industry, including providing education, training and a code of conduct around issues, in particular sex and other forms of assault. Our primary goal of this event is to bring individuals and businesses together, which is often difficult for the comedy industry, as it’s largely composed of individuals who work isolated in unregulated workplaces and environments.

Who is hosting?

Join Craic’s Founder, Louisa Jackson, with comedians Robyn Perkins and David Whitney, and Top Secret Comedy’s promoter, Dom Jones, among other guests.

Who can attend?

  • individual creators: stand-up comedians, actors, cartoonists, comics, artists, photographers, impersonators, magicians, writers, producers, and various TV, film, and online personalities; and

  • comedic industry businesses: venues, promoters, management, booking agencies, journalists, publishers, content providers, creators, distributors and brands, among others.
